The owners of a 2015 Chevrolet Spark contacted the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department to report their vehicle was stolen.

The LASD Century station verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Chevrolet.

Only seven minutes later deputies from the LASD Century station picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Chevrolet with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the deputies tracked the Chevrolet to a housing project in Compton.  The Chevrolet was found abandoned and undamaged.  The owner was contacted by the deputies and the Chevrolet was released in the field to the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Chevrolet Spark in August 2015 at Martin Chevrolet in Torrance, CA.
