LoJack® System Helps San Diego Police Department Recover Stolen Dodge Charger

The owner of a 2007 Dodge Charger contacted the La Mesa Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen from his residence in the city of La Mesa.

The La Mesa PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Dodge.

Within 18 minutes, officers from the San Diego Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Dodge with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Dodge to a residential neighborhood located in the 4800 block of Magnus Street in San Diego.

The Dodge Charger had previously been stolen twice and both times was tracked and recovered by the LoJack® System.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Dodge Charger in March 2008 by Enterprise in Victorville, California.
