The owners of a Nissan Versa contacted the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department to report that their vehicle was stolen in the unincorporated area of Riverside.

The Riverside County SD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Nissan.

A short while later, deputies from the Riverside County SD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Nissan with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the deputies tracked the Nissan to a residential neighborhood located at the 1200 block of Heacock Street in Moreno Valley. One suspect was arrested for vehicle theft and possession of stolen property.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Nissan Versa in August 2014 by Riverside Metro Auto Group in Riverside, California.
