LoJack® System Helps Corona Police Department Recover Stolen Honda Civic LX

The owners of a Honda Civic contacted the Corona Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen in the city of Corona.

The Corona PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

Within 4 minutes officers from the Anaheim Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Honda to a residential neighborhood located near the 300 block of South Lincoln Avenue in Corona.  The Anaheim PD K-9 unit directed officers from the Corona PD to his location and a traffic stop was made. One suspect was arrested for vehicle theft and possession of stolen property.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda Civic LX in July 2003 by Hillside Honda in Jamaica, New York.
