The owner of an Acura Integra contacted the San Diego Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen in the city of San Diego.

The San Diego PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Acura.

Within 8 minutes officers from the San Diego PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Acura Integra with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Acura to a residential area near 3800 Teak Street.   The driver was taken into custody for vehicle theft and possession of stolen property.

The Acura Integra was previously stolen in 2013 and recovered by the LoJack® System.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Acura Integra in March 1997 at Auto Land Vista in Vista, California.
