The owners of a 2005 Ford F-350 Series truck contacted the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department to report that their vehicle was stolen in the unincorporated area of San Bernardino County.

The San Bernardino County SD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford.

Within 11 minutes deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the deputies tracked the Ford to a residential neighborhood located at Briggs and Mill Creek road in Jurupa Valley. One suspect was arrested for vehicle theft and possession of stolen property.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford F-350 in June 2005 via Commercial Sales in Norco, California.
