The owners of a 2014 Chevrolet Camaro SS called the Alameda Sheriff’s Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from their driveway in Oakland, California.

The Alameda County SD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Chevrolet. Less than an hour later officers from the Oakland Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Camaro with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Camaro to a side street in Oakland Hills. The undamaged Camaro SS was abandoned on the street. The LoJack® System was installed in the Chevrolet Camaro SS in August 2014 at San Leandro Chevrolet in San Leandro, California.
