The owners of a 2014 Polaris UTV Ranger contacted the Charles County Sheriff’s Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from a job site in the area of Middletown Road and Hiker Bike Rail Trail in the Pomfret area of Charles County, Maryland.

The Charles County SD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Polaris Ranger.

A short while later deputies from the Charles County SD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Polaris with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Polaris to the 4600 block Crain Highway in the White Plains area of Charles County. At that location, deputies observed the Polaris parked and unoccupied. Deputies recovered the undamaged Polaris and notified the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2014 Polaris UTV during October 2014 at Commercial Sales in Upper Marlboro, Maryland
