LoJack® System Helps Pomona Police Department Recover Stolen Honda CRV

The owner of a 2004 Toyota CRV contacted the Alhambra Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen by two suspects.
Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.
A short while later Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department Air-7 flight deputies picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, Air-7 tracked the Toyota to a trailer park in the 200 block of East Foothill. Air-7 observed two occupants exit the Honda and radioed that information to responding units which included officers from Pomona and La Verne Police Departments. The two individuals were detained and later arrested and booked for the vehicle theft/ receiving stolen property. The Honda was stored for safe keeping and later released to the victim.
