The owner of a 2010 Honda Accord contacted the Clovis Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen. The Clovis PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

Less than one hour later an officer from the Fresno Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officer tracked the Honda to the vicinity of Thorne and Arthur avenues in central Fresno. Task Force officers conducted surveillance of the Honda for several hours but the thieves never returned.

The Honda was recovered intact and undamaged; it was stored pending release to the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda in April 2010 by Miller Honda of Van Nuys, California.
