LoJack® System Helps San Diego County Sheriff’s Department Recover a Stolen Infinity G37

The owner of a 2011 Infinity G37 contacted the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department to report that her vehicle was stolen from her residence in the city of Lemon Grove.

The San Diego County SD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Infinity.

Within 10 minutes, deputies from the San Diego County SD, Spring Valley station, picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Infinity G37 with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the deputies tracked the Infinity to the 1200 block of Purdy Street.  A traffic stop was made and the suspect was arrested for vehicle theft and possession of stolen property.

The Infinity was recovered undamaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Infinity in September 2010 at Infinity of Mission Viejo in California.
