This Toyota Camry was stolen during a two hour period from an apartment complex on East Burnside Street in Gresham.  When the theft was discovered it was reported to the Gresham Police Department.  The police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Mazda.

Within ten minutes of activating the LoJack, the Portland Police Department officers picked up the silent LoJack signal from the Mazda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Mazda to a motel parking lot on SE Stark Street where it was found abandoned and undamaged.  The Mazda was returned to the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Mazda in January of 2003 at El Cajon Mazda in California.
