The owners of a 2015 Toyota Corolla contacted the Westminster Police Department to report their vehicle was stolen.

The Westminster PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

Only four minutes later, a Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department airship, along with the LASD Lakewood patrol deputies, picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the deputies tracked the Toyota to the 15000 block of Paramount Boulevard, Paramount.  The deputies found the Toyota abandoned and undamaged.  The deputies contacted the happy owner and had him respond to take possession of his Toyota.  The Toyota was stolen, recovered, and returned to the owner within an hour.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Toyota Corolla in November 2014 at Auto Nation Toyota Scion in Las Vegas, Nevada.
