The owners of a 2015 Toyota contacted the Atlanta Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen from a parking lot from downtown while he was shopping.
The Atlanta PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota
After a short while of the LoJack activation, officers with the Fulton County Police Department began to pick up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) that is installed in his patrol vehicle.
Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officer tracked the Toyota to a home in rural Fulton County where it was spotted with a suspect under the wheel of the stolen Toyota. The driver was arrested by the Police and charged with the theft of the Toyota.
The owner was very glad that he had purchased a LoJack® unit when he bought it from the dealership.
The LoJack® System was installed in the 2015 Toyota in October 2014.
