The owners of a 2005 Dodge Durango were assaulted while driving their vehicle in Northwest Denver and had their Dodge taken in an armed carjacking.

The owners reported the robbery to the Denver Police Department.  Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Dodge.

Six-minutes later officers with the Denver PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Durango with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Durango to a backyard near 41st and Quivas Streets.  They found the Durango concealed from view from the street.  The Durango was towed for crime scene evidence collection.  The investigation was turned over to detectives.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Dodge Durango in March 2005.
