The owner of a 2010 Toyota Highlander contacted the New York Police Department, 102nd Precinct, in Queens to report that his vehicle was stolen from where he had it parked on the street where he lives.

When NYPD arrived they took a written report, this information was then entered into the state and federal crime computer. Once this was done the LoJack ® System that was hidden on the vehicle was automatically activated.
A short while later police officers from the 113th Precinct, picked up the silent signal on their on board tracking computer that their vehicle was equipped with. This was in the Jamaica section of Queens, They tracked the signal to a residential street. There they found the vehicle unoccupied and decided to stake the vehicle out. After a short while when no one showed up for the vehicle, they took the vehicle into custody. The vehicle was recovered in good condition.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2010 Toyota Highlander at Queensboro Toyota, Woodside  NY.
