The owners of a 2011 Chevrolet Camaro SS discovered that their car was stolen from in front of their home in Fremont, CA.

Fremont PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Camaro.
A few hours later, Oakland Police officers picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Camaro with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to an industrial area near the Oakland Airport where the Camaro was located, abandoned and undamaged on a side street. The owners of the car were notified of its recovery and asked to respond to recover their vehicle.

This is the second time this year that this vehicle was stolen and recovered with the LoJack® System

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2011 Chevrolet Camaro in August 2010.
