An Econoline van and attached Interstate cargo trailer, loaded with musical instruments, was stolen during the evening hours on Elliott Avenue in Seattle.  When the theft was discovered the next morning it was reported to the Seattle Police Department.  The report was verified and they entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford van.
Within minutes of the activation of the LoJack, a King County Sheriff K9 deputy picked up the silent LoJack signals from the stolen van on the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the K9 deputy tracked it to Second Avenue SW in Seattle where it was found abandoned.  The trailer was still attached, but the musical instruments were missing.  It was turned over to the Seattle PD for processing.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford van in July of 2014.
