The owners of a 2001 Honda Odyssey contacted the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from their residence in Santee.

San Diego police County Sheriff’s Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda Odyssey.

Twelve minutes later, deputies from San Diego County Sheriff’s Department picked up the silent LoJack® homing signals from the stolen Honda Odyssey with the LoJack® Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the deputies tracked the vehicle to the 8600 block of Navajo Road in San Diego.  A female was arrested for vehicle theft and possession of stolen property. The vehicle was recovered undamaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda Odyssey in December 2000.
