The owner of a 2005 Chevrolet Colorado contacted the Baltimore County Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from the 4000 block Washington Street in the Wilkens area of Baltimore County.

Baltimore County Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2005 Chevrolet Colorado.

A short while later detectives in the Regional Auto Theft Team picked up the silent LoJack  homing signals from the stolen 2005 Chevrolet Colorado with the LoJack  Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to the 1000 block W. Patapsco Avenue in the Brooklyn area of Baltimore. At that location, officers observed the vehicle parked and unoccupied. After a period of time past, detectives recovered the stolen vehicle and notified the owner.
The LoJack® System was installed in the 2005 Chevrolet Colorado during October, 2004 at JBA Chevrolet in Glen Burnie, Maryland.
