The owner of this 2006 Kawasaki ZX600 contacted the Corona Police Department and reported that their vehicle had been stolen. Witnesses observed two individuals load the MC into a pickup truck and drive off.  The police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Kawasaki…

A short while later, law enforcement agencies from two counties were picking up the silent LoJack® homing signals from the stolen Kawasaki with the LoJack® Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the deputies from Riverside County SO-Jurupa Valley area tracked the vehicle to the 4400 block of Via Curva St and located the vehicle parked in a back yard of the residence. Deputies deployed on the location and attempted to contact the resident.  While deputies were knocking on the front door, the suspect opened the side door and was surprised to see two deputies standing there.  The suspect slammed the door on the deputies; however, he was taken into custody.  The motorcycle was found in good condition and was stored for safe keeping.  The suspect was later booked PC 496 Receiving Stolen Property and PC 69 Felony Resisting.
The LoJack® Stolen Vehicle Recovery System was installed in this Kawasaki in July 2008. The recovered vehicle is valued at $5,000.
