The owners of a Chevrolet Cobalt contacted the Colorado Springs PD to report that their vehicle was stolen.

The police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Chevrolet.

A short while later, officers with Colorado Springs PD picked up the silent LoJack® homing signals from the stolen Cobalt with the LoJack® Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to Morning Mist and Post Oak and recovered the unoccupied vehicle.  It was released on-scene to the very happy owners.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Chevrolet Cobalt in June 2008.
