The owner of this Acura MDX discovered the vehicle was stolen during the late evening to early morning hours.  It was taken from the owners’ apartment complex parking lot in Renton.  Renton Police Department was notified and the information was verified.   The vehicle information was then entered into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Acura.

Early that same afternoon, a Seattle police officer picked up the silent LoJack® homing signals from the stolen Acura with the LoJack® Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officer was able to locate the vehicle in the 4200 block of South Kenyon Street.  It was abandoned and apparently undamaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Acura MDX in February of 2004.
