The owner of a 2009 Chevrolet Impala contacted the 105th Precinct NYPD Queens Village to report that his vehicle was stolen from him. The owner stated that he parked his vehicle and locked his vehicle in front of his house. When he came out in the morning he found it missing. He immediately reported the theft to the 105th Precinct.

NYPD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Stolen Honda CR-V.

A short while later, police officers from the Nassau County Police Department, 4th Precinct picked up the silent signal from the LoJack® System installed on the stolen Chevrolet on their LoJack Police Tracking Computers installed in their patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the LoJack® computers, they tracked the signal into the Hewlett section of Nassau County, confines of the 4th Precinct. There they tracked the vehicle which was parked on a residential street.

They decided to stake the vehicle out. After a period of time however, no one showed up for it and they took the vehicle into custody. The vehicle was recovered with no damage.

The LoJack®System was installed in the 2009 Chevrolet Impala on June 10, 2010 at Enterprise 17R4 Philadelphia PA.
