The owners of a 2010 Melroe front loader contacted San Antonio P D to report that their vehicle was  secured at the job site located at 1211 N Ellison San Antonio, TX 78245 on Friday evening and when they returned on Monday the loader was missing.  San Antonio police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Melroe front loader.

A short while later deputies from Bexar County Sheriff’s Department and officers  from San Antonio P D picked up the silent LoJack® homing signals from the stolen Melroe loader with the LoJack® Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers and deputies tracked the vehicle to another construction site a few miles away where it appeared someone had used the loader then abandoned it. The owner was notified and the loader released into his custody. The owner had just purchased the LoJack system for his equipment days before.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2010 MELROE FRONT LOADER in JULY 21, 2014.
