A GMC Yukon stolen from its owner’s workplace is recovered by local law enforcement, with help from the LoJack® system, in less than 15 minutes after activation.

On May 30th, 2014, the GMC’s owner contacted the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department to report that his vehicle was stolen. Deputies verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Yukon XL, which was installed at Ball Automotive in National City, CA.

Just a few minutes later, deputies from the SDCSD picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen SUV with the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The deputies located the GMC on Via Madonna in Santee. They retrieved the Yukon XL and quickly returned it to its elated owner.
