This case involves a Nissan Sentra that was stolen in San Bernardino, CA. Thanks to local law enforcement, assisted by the LoJack® system that was installed in the car, it was retrieved without damage that same day- with its gas tank filled!

On April 16th, 2014, the Nissan’s owners contacted the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department to report their vehicle was stolen. Deputies verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Sentra.

Just a few minutes later, officers from the Whittier PD picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen car with the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Nissan was located at a service station in the area of Calmada and Lambert Avenues, where the suspected thief was buying gas. The officers approached and took the suspect into custody. The undamaged Sentra, with a full tank of gas, was soon returned to its grateful owners.
