The owners of a 2007 Toyota Rav4 contacted the Miramar Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen.  The Miramar Police Department verified the theft and had the vehicle information entered into the state and federal crime computers.  This routine action automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed
in the Toyota.

A short while later officers from the North Miami Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signals from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTCs) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from their PTCs, the officers tracked the vehicle to 400 block of NE 137th Street.  The Toyota was recovered with no damage.  It was returned to the owner after crime scene processing.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Toyota Rav 4 in April of 2007 at Lehman Toyota, in Miami, Florida.
