LoJack System Helps New York Police Department Recover a 2016 Honda Accord

The owner of a 2016 Honda Accord  in the Canarsie section of Brooklyn discovered his vehicle missing from in front of his residence in the confines of the 69 precinct. He immediately called the police who arrived on scene, verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

Within a short while officers from New Yorks  69th prescient in the Canarsie section of Brooklyn, picked up the silent and directional signal being broadcast by the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft .  Following the silent and directional signal they tracked the vehicle to a residential section of the precinct where they found the Honda parked and unoccupied. They placed the stolen Honda Accord under observation for a short while and when no one returned for the vehicle it was recovered.

The vehicle was recovered with no damage, the owner was notified, and was elated that his vehicle was recovered so quickly..

The LoJack unit was installed at Bay Ridge Honda/Volvo Brooklyn NY in April, of 2016

The value of the vehicle was approximately $17,000.00.
