LoJack System Helps Baltimore City Police Department Recover Stolen Toyota Corolla

The owner of a 2018 Toyota Corolla contacted the Baltimore City Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from the area of Unit N. Aisquith Street in Baltimore City, Maryland.  Baltimore City Police Radio dispatched an officer from the 2nd District to investigate the incident. The officer quickly arrived on location, interviewed the complainant and surveyed the area for the subject vehicle. When the officer was unable to locate the vehicle, a stolen vehicle report was prepared. The officer then arranged for the stolen vehicle information to be entered into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2018 Toyota Corolla.

A short while later, officers from Baltimore City Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen 2018 Toyota Corolla with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to the 200 S. Eden Street in the Inner Harbor East area of Baltimore City, Maryland. At this location, officers observed the vehicle parked and unoccupied. The undamaged vehicle was recovered by police and the owner notified.
