The owner of a 2006 Dodge Charger contacted the Pasadena PD to report his vehicle stolen. The owner parked his vehicle in his front driveway and when he returned to it found it missing. The Pasadena PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Dodge.

A short while later officers from the Houston PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Dodge with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the stolen Dodge to a house in the 11900 block of Bentley. Officers determined that the stolen Dodge was inside the garage and executed a search warrant. Officers found the stolen Dodge inside the garage partially stripped. The homeowner was arrested.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Dodge Charger in September 2006 at Archer Dodge in Houston.
