The owner of a 2017 Honda CRV contacted the Union City Police Department to report his vehicle stolen sometime during the night from the driveway of his home in Union City. The keys were in the vehicle when stolen. The Union City Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2017 Honda CRV.

A short while later, officers from the Hoboken Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal coming from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to Fourth Street in Union City, where the vehicle was located parked and unoccupied on a street. Officers recovered the stolen Honda and returned it to a grateful owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2018 Honda Civic in October 2017 at Hudson Honda, West New York, New Jersey
