The owners/dealership of a 2019 Ford F150 contacted the Los Angeles Police Department to report their vehicle stolen. Apparently the thief stole the vehicle in the early morning hours.  Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford F-150.

A short while later and  ninety miles away, officers from Bakersfield Police Department and Kern County Sheriff’s picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford F-150 with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked and located the vehicle abandoned in Bakersfield.  Officers completed their investigation and later released the vehicle to a company representative.

The LoJack® System was pre- installed as a part of a dealer protection program in June 2019 at Vista Ford Lincoln Mercury, Mission Hills, CA.
