The owner of a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado pickup contacted the Houston PD to report their vehicle stolen. The owner parked his vehicle at work and found it missing when he finished his shift.  The Houston PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Chevrolet pickup.

A short while later officers from the Houston PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Chevrolet pickup with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the stolen Chevrolet pickup to the 6700 block of Ave H where they found it abandoned on the street.  The ignition had been damaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Chevrolet pickup in June 2017 at Classic Chevrolet in Sugar Land, TX.
