The owners of a commercial truck, Ford F-450 contacted the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department to report their vehicle stolen from a work site location in the city of Menifee. Riverside County Sheriff’s Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford.

Within 5 minutes, deputies from Riverside County Sheriff’s Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford F-450 with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the deputies tracked the vehicle to the area of Forest Grove Lane and Abelia lane in the city of Menifee.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford F-450 as a commercial install in November 2004.
