The owners of a 2019 Nissan Altima contacted the Elizabeth Police Department to report his vehicle stolen from the driveway of his residence in the City of Elizabeth. The keys were in the vehicle when stolen.  The Elizabeth Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2019 Nissan Altima.

A short while later, officers from the Newark Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal coming from the stolen Nissan with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) installed in their patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to Center Ave. in the City of Newark, where the vehicle was located parked and unoccupied on the street. The vehicle was recovered undamaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2019 Nissan Altima in November 2019 at Route 1Nissan in New Jersey.
