The owners of a 2017 Ford Escape contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to report their vehicle stolen from in front of their residence in the 3300 block of Twin Bridges.  The owners had gone to bed without securing the Ford but had the keys in the residence.  The suspect’s opened the Ford and used the garage door opener to open the garage.  The suspects then went into the residence and took various items along with keys to both of the owner’s cars.  When the owners woke up they found that their residence had been burglarized while they were sleeping and found that both of their cars were also missing so they notified the police.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford.

Ten minutes later officers from Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to the intersection of Fast Payout and Longshot where they found the Ford unoccupied.  The Ford was recovered and returned back to the owners.  The second car that was stolen from the owners did not have a LoJack tracking system on it and took several more days to recover it.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford Escape in June 2016 at Team Ford, Las Vegas, Nevada.
