The owners of a 2012 Ford Taurus contacted the Quincy Police Department to report their vehicle stolen. The Quincy Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford.

A short while later officers from the Massasoit Community Police Department located in Brockton, MA as well as the Brockton Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers from the Brockton Police Department tracked the vehicle to a residential address on the East side of Brockton near the college campus and recovered the unoccupied vehicle.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford Taurus in June 2012 at Herb Chambers Ford located in Braintree, MA.
