The owners of a 20087 Scion XB contacted the San Bernardino Sheriff’s to report that their vehicle was “Car Jacked”, giving a suspect description to deputies. Deputies verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Scion XB.

A short while later a deputy working traffic enforcement observed the Scion XB driving erratically.  Other deputies nearby picked up the signal from stolen Scion with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.

The deputies arrived to assist and confirmed that the Scion was in fact stolen and that the suspect matched the description of the suspect. Deputies from San Bernardino were contacted and responded taking custody of the suspect.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Scion XB in April 2008 at Toyota of Riverside, Riverside, CA.
