The owner of a 2019 Nissan Rogue contacted the Belleville Police Department to report his vehicle stolen from the parking lot where he works in Belleville. The keys were in the vehicle when stolen.  The Belleville Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2019 Nissan Rogue.

A short while later, officers from the Newark Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal coming from the stolen Nissan with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to Verona Ave. in the City of Newark, where the vehicle was located parked on the street. The vehicle was recovered undamaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2019 Nissan Rogue in February 2019 at Hudson Nissan in Jersey City, N.J.
