The owner of a 2019 Kia Frontier contacted the Redding Police Department to report their vehicle stolen.  The owner advised the vehicle was taken from the parking lot of a motel in the 1600 block of Hilltop Road. The Redding Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2019 Kia Frontier.
A short time later, a Redding Police Officer was alerted to the stolen Kia Frontier by means of the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Kia with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the stolen Kia was tracked and  found parked, unoccupied, in a dirt parking lot in the 2400 block of Airstrip Road.

The stolen Kia Frontier was recovered by the Redding Police Department and the vehicle was towed/stored for safe keeping to be returned to the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2019 Kia Frontier in February 2019, at Redding Subaru-Kia, in Redding, CA.
