LoJack System Helps Boston Police Department Recover Stolen Honda Accord

The owners of a 2003 Honda Accord contacted the Boston Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen. The Boston Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

A short while later Officer’s from the Randolph Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to area of Chestnut Circle and recovered the unoccupied stole vehicle.  The vehicle was recovered a little over an hour after it was entered as a stolen vehicle.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda Accord in August 2003 at Bernardi Honda located in Natick, MA.
