The owner of a 2005 Toyota Solara contacted the Baltimore City Police Department to report their vehicle stolen from 3700 Barrington Road in the Dorchester neighborhood of Baltimore City, Maryland. Baltimore City Police Radio dispatched an officer from the 6th District to investigate the incident. The officer quickly arrived on location, interviewed the complainant and surveyed the area for the subject vehicle. When the officer was unable to locate the vehicle, a stolen vehicle report was prepared. After the officer verified the theft, he entered the vehicle information into state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2005 Toyota.

A short while later, officers from Baltimore City Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen 2005 Toyota Solara with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to 3700 Sequoia Avenue in the Calloway-Garrison area of Baltimore City, Maryland. At this location, officers observed the vehicle parked and unoccupied. The undamaged vehicle was recovered by police, and the owner notified.

Approximate value of vehicle: $ 5,550.00

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2005 Toyota Solara in September, 2004 at Russel Toyota in Baltimore, Maryland
