The owners of a 2014 Chevy Corvette reported to Southaven Police their Corvette stolen. Once Southaven Police verified the theft, and entered the vehicle’s information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in in the Chevrolet.

The thieves’ then drove the stolen Corvette across State lines into Memphis Tennessee where the Tennessee Highway Patrol picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Corvette with the LoJack Tracking Computers® (PTC’s) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Tennessee Highway Patrol dispatched a Helicopter to the Memphis area to look for the stolen Corvette. Following the directional and audible cues issuing from the LoJack System concealed in the Chevrolet the air unit was able to track the vehicle to a house where the vehicle was located under a carport unattended. Ground units from THP responded to recover the vehicle.

The stolen Corvette was recovered and returned to a grateful owner without any damage. This is an example of how LoJack works across State lines utilizing different agencies and resources.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Chevrolet Corvette in February 2015 At Lexus of Clear Lake, TX.
