The owner of a 2019 Chevrolet Colorado pickup contacted the Redding Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen.  The owner advised the vehicle was taken from in front of their residence in the 1900 block of Chestnut Street. The Redding Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2019 Chevrolet Colorado.
A short time later, a Redding Police Officer was alerted to the stolen Chevrolet Colorado by means of the silent LoJack signal from the stolen vehicle with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the stolen Chevrolet Colorado was tracked and was found parked unoccupied, at Rose Avenue and Eureka Way.

The undamaged Chevrolet Colorado was recovered by the Redding Police Department and the vehicle was released to the very happy owner at the scene.  The vehicle had been purchased with the LoJack Stolen Vehicle Recovery System installed just days earlier.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Chevrolet Colorado in April 2019, at Lithia Chevrolet, in Redding, CA.
