LoJack System Helps Philadelphia Police Department Recover a Stolen 2012 Dodge Ram Pickup Truck

The owner of a 2012 Dodge Ram Pickup Truck contacted the Bristol Township Police Department to report that his vehicle stolen from his driveway in Levittown, PA. The Bristol Township Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2012 Dodge Ram Pickup Truck.

A short while later officers from the Philadelphia Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal coming from the stolen Dodge with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to a parking lot on East Erie Avenue in North Philadelphia.
