The owners of a 2010 Cadillac SRX reported to Cobb County Police that they had loaned their vehicle to a friend and have had no contact with the friend or vehicle in over two weeks. Once Cobb County Police verified the theft, they entered the vehicle’s information into the NCIC system, which automatically activated the hidden LoJack in the vehicle.

The same day the Cadillac was entered as stolen Cobb County Police picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Cadillac with the LoJack Tracking Computers (PTC’s) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from their PTC’s they were able to locate the Cadillac.

The vehicle was recovered and an arrest was made. The vehicle was returned to the original owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Cadillac in December 2014 at Hennessey Cadillac in Duluth, Ga.
