The owners of a 2018 Toyota Corolla reported to DeKalb Police their vehicle had been stolen out of their residence driveway overnight. DeKalb Police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2018 Toyota.

A short time later Officers from the DeKalb Police department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Tracking Computers (PTC’s) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from their PTC’s they were able to locate the vehicle unattended in an apartment complex. The vehicle was recovered undamaged and returned to the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Toyota in March 2018 at Atlanta Toyota in Duluth, Ga.
