The owner of a 2007 Honda CR-VX contacted the Palm Springs Police Department to report that she was assaulted, tied up and her vehicle stolen during a home invasion in the city of Palm Springs. Palm Springs Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

A short while later, officers from Riverside Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda CR-VX with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to the 1100 block of West La Cadena Drive in the city of Riverside.  A traffic stop was initiated; the suspect was arrested for vehicle theft and possession of stolen property, assault and home invasion.  Palm Springs detectives responded to the scene in Riverside and handled the arrest due to the severity of the crime.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda CR-VX in March 2007 at Import Warehouse, Palm Springs, California.
