The owner of a 2016 Chrysler 300 contacted the Albuquerque Police Department to report the vehicle was stolen.  The Albuquerque PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Chrysler 300.

Approximately an hour after the activation, officers with the Albuquerque PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Chrysler with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles.  The officer was enroute to another call when he picked up the LoJack signal and after that call he went back into the area to begin searching for the stolen Chrysler.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officer tracked the LoJack signal to the area of Barelas and Atlantic.

Officers located the stolen Chrysler parked along the curb and it was unoccupied.  The Chrysler was recovered and processed for evidence at the scene.  The owner was notified of the recovery and will be reunited with their stolen vehicle.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Chrysler 300 in December 2015 at Brad Francis Chrysler in Los Lunas, New Mexico.
